Avalara appoints Claire Goad to lead global e-invoicing business

Avalara, Inc. has appointed Claire Goad as the General Manager of E-Invoicing and Live Reporting (ELR). In this role, Goad will manage the company’s global e-invoicing business, focusing on market execution, partner delivery, and international expansion.

The appointment comes as governments globally increase mandates for continuous transaction controls and digital reporting. These regulatory shifts are particularly notable in Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region, including specific initiatives such as the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) and mandates in France and Germany.

Goad brings over 20 years of experience in invoice automation, indirect tax workflows, and enterprise shared services. She previously served as Senior Vice President of Invoice Automation Sales and Delivery at Tungsten Automation.
