Avalara launches Avalara Aviator AI agent hub for tax compliance

Avalara, Inc. has unveiled Avalara Aviator, a new agent hub designed to automate complex tax and compliance workflows using specialized AI agents. Introduced at the company’s CRUSH customer and partner conference, the platform aims to bridge the gap between discrete automated tasks—such as tax calculation and filing—and the manual processes that typically connect them.

The system utilizes intelligent agents capable of understanding context, coordinating work, monitoring variances, and taking action, while ensuring humans remain in control of critical decisions. According to CEO Hugo Sarrazin, the tool is built on over 22 years of closed-loop compliance data, intended to transform days of manual oversight into minutes of digital control with an audit-defensible record for every action.
