Avalon Foundation launches campaign for disability employment in Poland

The Avalon Foundation has launched a nationwide social campaign titled ‘Widzimy się w pracy!’ (We see each other at work!) to address employment disparities for people with disabilities in Poland.

Statistics indicate that Poland has one of the largest gaps in the European Union between the employment levels of people with disabilities and the rest of the population. According to 2025 Eurostat data, this gap in Poland was 35 percentage points, compared to an EU average of 24.2 percentage points. While over 5 million people with disabilities live in Poland, only 18.5 percent are employed.

The campaign aims to break down stereotypes and barriers that prevent people with disabilities from participating in the labor market. Data shows that many individuals in this group possess high qualifications; for instance, 637,600 people with disabilities in Poland have completed university studies.
