Avanos begins infrastructure upgrades on Cappadocia route

Infrastructure improvements have commenced on the Avanos-Çavuşin road in the Cappadocia region. Following a protocol between the Avanos Municipality and the Nevşehir Special Provincial Administration, work has begun to apply a 5-centimeter thick bituminous hot mix (BSK) comfort layer to a 1.7-kilometer stretch of the route.

Avanos Mayor Mustafa Kenan Sarıtaş announced that the municipality has contributed 10 million TL toward the road surfacing project. Additionally, 3 million TL has been allocated to a project for an illuminated bicycle path running through the Avanos-Çavuşin-Göreme route, bringing the municipality's total contribution for these transport projects to 13 million TL. The investments aim to enhance driving safety, improve transport comfort, and strengthen the region's tourism potential.
