Avanti PSI launches its July congress in Cosenza

The Avanti PSI party opened its July congress series on 29 July at the Italian Hotel in Cosenza. Party president and regional secretary Luigi Incarnato announced plans to hold subsequent meetings in Rende and other locations, aiming to inject a reformist momentum into Italy’s centre‑left bloc.

Incarnato criticised the ruling government, accusing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and her allies of policy failures in security, the economy and public services, and called for a stronger, more proactive opposition to win future municipal contests.
