Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender Gets Limited Theatrical Run in LA and NYC

Paramount Pictures will give the animated sequel Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender an awards‑qualifying theatrical window. The film will play from July 24 to July 30, 2026, with three daily showings at AMC Burbank Town Center (Los Angeles) and AMC Empire 25 (Manhattan). Tickets go on sale on July 16.

The limited run is intended to make the movie eligible for the Best Animated Feature category at next year’s Oscars, while the primary release will be on the Paramount+ streaming service on July 25. A special early screening is scheduled for San Diego Comic‑Con on July 24.

The film continues the story of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, starring Eric Nam as Aang, Dave Bautista as Tagah, Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Steven Yeun as Zuko and Dionne Quan as Toph, and is directed by Lauren Montgomery with co‑directors Steve Ahn and William Mata.
