Avatar Aang Film Shifts to July 25 Streaming Debut on Paramount+

Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, an animated film from Avatar Studios based on the original series by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, will premiere on Paramount+ on July 25, 2026. The project originally targeted an October theatrical release but was moved to streaming after a full‑film leak in April 2026 accelerated the schedule. A trailer showcasing a mature Aang, now about 25 years old, was released alongside confirmation of the new date.

The voice cast includes Eric Nam as Aang, Dave Bautista as Tagah, Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Steven Yeun as Zuko, Dionne Quan as Toph and Dee Bradley Baker reprising Appa and Momo. The film is directed by Lauren Montgomery with co‑directors Steve Ahn and William Mata, written by Tim Hendrick and Christopher Yost from a story by the original creators. It is set roughly a decade after the Hundred‑Year War, depicting Aang’s role in building Republic City and his quest to uncover an ancient power that could save his culture.

The release follows a broader expansion of the franchise that includes the upcoming series Avatar: Seven Havens slated for 2027. Creators have expressed enthusiasm: “Al menos para mí, ahora que la película está lista para salir oficialmente al mundo, la emoción ha vuelto.”
