Avatar announces 2027 Latin American and Australian tour dates

Swedish metal band Avatar has announced plans for a 2027 tour in Latin America, following the release of their tenth studio album, ‘Don’t Go In The Forest’. The tour includes scheduled performances in Mexico, with dates set for January 22 in Guadalajara at Teatro Estudio Cavaret and January 23 in Monterrey at Escenario GNP Seguros.

In addition to Latin American dates, the band has scheduled an Australian tour including stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland. Frontman Johannes Eckerström described the creative process for the new album as intuitive and spiritual, noting that the music aims to explore psychological and spiritual themes.

The band is known for its theatrical stage presence, often incorporating circus and cabaret elements into their live shows, a style led by Eckerström’s persona as a master of ceremonies.
