Avatar franchise expands with new animated series and film

The Avatar franchise is expanding with new animated content arriving on Paramount+. The new series, ‘Avatar: Seven Havens’, is scheduled for release on Friday, October 9. Set 225 years after the events of ‘The Legend of Korra’, the show follows a young Earthbender named Pavi who discovers she is the post-Korra Avatar.

Both ‘Seven Havens’ and the animated film ‘Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender’ are produced by the franchise’s original creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The film, directed by Lauren Montgomery in her feature-length directorial debut, follows Aang’s journey to uncover an ancient power to prevent the extinction of his people. Eric Nam provides the voice for Aang in the film.
