Avatar Legends fighting game beta concludes, DLC character poll announced
A closed beta for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game was held over the past weekend, drawing generally positive feedback despite some console technical issues and mixed opinions on the game’s difficulty and combo execution. The developers confirmed that the beta has now ended and the full title is scheduled for release on July 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Switch and PC at $30.
The Year 1 Pass will add five new DLC fighters. Four characters—Iroh, Ty Lee, Bolin and Lin Beifong—were revealed at EVO Vegas 2026, while a fifth fighter will be chosen by a fan vote from a shortlist that includes King Bumi, Asami and other Avatar series figures. Players who pre‑order the game can participate in the poll.
The game's roster already features the series’ main benders such as Aang, Korra, Katara, Toph, Zuko, Sokka and Azula, and the upcoming DLC aims to expand combat options with both bending and non‑bending styles.
