Avatar Legends Fighting Game launches with 12 fighters and unlockable characters

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, a 2‑D fighting title based on Nickelodeon's Avatar series, arrived on consoles and PC featuring twelve playable characters at launch. Ten fighters are available from the start, while two—Nightmare Korra and Avatar Aang—must be unlocked through the story mode (Chapter 6 and Chapter 11 respectively) or via a rapid button‑press code that cycles through Arcade, Training and VS Local menus.

The Year 1 Pass will add four additional characters later, and a community‑voted DLC will introduce a fifth. Developers, some of whom are Brazilian, plan updates to improve animation quality and to add ranked and spectator modes. A free DLC character, Tagah, from the upcoming film “Avatar Aang: The Last Master of Air,” is also slated for release.
