Avatar Legends Fighting Game Release Delayed to July 23, 2026
Gameplay Group announced that Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will launch on July 23, 2026, instead of the originally scheduled July 2 date. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The postponement is intended to give the team extra time to polish the game, improve technical aspects such as netcode and balance, and add previously unplanned content.
A cross‑play beta is set for July 2‑5, 2026 and will be accessible to players who pre‑order the game. The beta will let participants test the 2D elemental combat system, hand‑drawn animation, rollback netcode, and multiplayer matchmaking across platforms. The game will ship in Standard and Deluxe editions, the latter including a digital soundtrack, art book, unique HUDs and a Year 1 Pass with additional characters and color options.
Developed by Gameplay Group with PM Studios, the fighting game draws on the Avatar universe’s Four Nations and features a single‑player story campaign, various training modes, and a “Flow System” that emphasizes movement.
