The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has released its preseason Taraflex Division III Women's Volleyball Top 25 Poll.

Christopher Newport University enters the 2026 season ranked No. 19 in the nation, marking the program's highest preseason ranking since 2016. The Captains are coming off a season where they finished No. 18 and secured their second consecutive Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference title.

The University of Northwestern also received recognition in the poll, earning 31 votes which places them 35th in the preseason rankings. The Eagles, led by Beth Wilmeth, are noted for their consistent presence in the rankings and their history of competing against top-tier programs.
