Avcılar residential buildings constructed adjacent to Ambarlı Cemetery

New residential buildings constructed as part of urban transformation projects in the Avcılar district of Istanbul have drawn significant attention due to their extreme proximity to the Ambarlı Cemetery. Aerial footage reveals that the new structures are situated almost directly adjacent to the burial grounds, with some buildings separated from gravestones by only a narrow passage.

The proximity is so close that windows and balconies of the new apartments look directly onto the cemetery. While some local residents have expressed shock at the construction and questioned the zoning permissions, some apartment owners have stated that the view does not pose a problem for them.
