Avellino administration seeks to revoke liquidation of ACS
The Avellino municipal administration has announced its intention to revoke the liquidation status of the municipal company, Avellino Città Servizi (ACS), in an effort to safeguard the entity and its employees.
Following the approval of the 2023, 2024, and 2025 financial statements, the administration must now present a sustainable industrial plan to the Court of Auditors to prove that the company's services remain economically viable compared to market alternatives. A primary challenge involves the current employment contracts for the 22 employees, which are categorized under Confcommercio despite staff performing security and traffic auxiliary roles. This makes demonstrating economic convenience difficult.
To address this, the administration has proposed a plan focused on job and wage protection. For ten employees nearing retirement within the next three years, the proposal includes an exit incentive combined with municipal contributions to supplement NASpI, ensuring their current levels of pay and social security contributions are maintained.
