Avellino adopts community education pacts; Campania expands Scuola Viva program

The Avellino municipal council approved the "Patti Educativi di Comunità," a set of community‑education agreements intended to involve schools, families, local associations and institutions in joint decision‑making. Councillor Francesco Iandolo described the move as a first step toward a "teaching city" and pledged to publish a co‑design call for neighbourhood groups.

At the regional level, Campania released a new biennial call for the Scuola Viva programme, extending funding to more schools and emphasising inclusion, accessibility and the fight against dropout. Democratic Party regional leader Maurizio Petracca praised the initiative, noting that assessor Andrea Morrioli’s work strengthens the role of schools as permanent community hubs and supports stable, collaborative networks across the region.
