Avellino and Catania negotiate player swap involving Kaleb Jimenez and Cosimo Patierno

Italian Serie C clubs Avellino and Catania have opened preliminary talks on a direct player exchange. The proposed deal would see Avellino's midfielder Kaleb Jimenez move to Catania, while veteran striker Cosimo Patierno, aged 35, would head to Sicily. Negotiations are still in the early stage, with financial terms yet to be defined. Both players have expressed interest in the move, which could ease the clubs' roster planning. Jimenez, a 22‑year‑old Spanish midfielder, has been highlighted for his creativity, vertical play and efficient final‑third contributions, recording five goals, one assist and a high expected assist per 90 minutes in the current Serie C season. Patierno, a seasoned forward, has previously been linked with Catania but previous attempts fell through due to financial constraints.
