Avellino approves plans for new 22,000-seat Partenio-Lombardi Stadium
The municipality of Avellino has approved the Design Direction Document (DIP) for the new Partenio-Lombardi Stadium. The project aims to create a modern, multifunctional facility with a capacity of at least 22,000 seats, meeting UEFA Category 4 standards to host international football competitions. The estimated total investment is approximately 72.7 million euros, which is expected to be fully funded by regional resources currently being finalized by the Campania Region.
In related local developments, the Avellino Public Works Commission held a site visit at the Ex Cecchini area, located in front of the Partenio stadium. This site is designated for the construction of the city’s new ecological island. The commission is also working on regulations for a new Environmental Consultation body to oversee local ecological matters.
