Avellino implements new urban video surveillance system

The city of Avellino is progressing with its ‘Enjoy Avellino Smart City’ project, which aims to enhance urban security through an expanded video surveillance network. As of September 2026, 32 of the planned 70 cameras have been installed.

City Councilor Ettore Iacovacci stated that the project, which began in May, is proceeding according to schedule and is expected to be completed by October 2026. Once fully operational, the system will be linked to the Municipal Police and other law enforcement agencies to improve territorial control and crime prevention.
