Avellino officials discuss stadium partnership and Curva Nord reopening

In Avellino, City Council President Nicola Giordano convened a meeting of group leaders to discuss the upcoming assembly schedule and the reopening of the Curva Nord, which has been closed for seventeen years.

The meeting also addressed a proposal submitted by US Avellino President Angelo Antonio D'Agostino regarding a partnership for a new stadium. Minority Councilor Gianluca Festa criticized the administration for refusing to provide information on these negotiations, accusing the majority of attempting to keep the community in the dark. Giordano responded by stating that discussions can only proceed once financial investigations and certain elements are established.

The next City Council session is scheduled for September 15.
