Cosimo Patierno joins Casarano following departure from Avellino

Striker Cosimo Patierno has officially joined Casarano on a two-year contract, departing Avellino after three seasons. Patierno, who played a key role in Avellino’s promotion to Serie B, recorded 91 appearances and 38 goals for the club.

In a social media farewell to Avellino fans, Patierno expressed deep gratitude for the support and the opportunity to play in Serie B, but also voiced disappointment regarding his treatment by the club in recent weeks. He described the departure as a “wound” caused by the silence surrounding his exit.

As part of the roster restructuring following Patierno's move, Avellino has secured the signing of Francesco Podrini. The 2007-born left winger, who developed in the Vis Pesaro youth system, will remain with the club through the end of the season.
