Avellino security concerns raised over Ferragosto concert capacity

Galasso (LEGA) has called for explanations from Mayor Pizza regarding security measures during the Ferragosto celebrations in Avellino. The controversy centers on a concert held in Piazza Libertà.

According to reports, the Avellino Police Chief estimated the square's capacity at approximately 3,500 people for the event. However, it is alleged that the actual attendance reached about 7,000, significantly exceeding the safety limit. Galasso questioned why the municipality did not relocate the concert to a larger, more suitable area, such as the Arena zone, to ensure public safety and prevent potential emergencies.
