Marvel Studios prepares Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars

Marvel Studios is preparing for the release of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, scheduled for December 2026, and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ in 2027. Reports regarding test screenings suggest highly positive audience reactions, with some insiders claiming the film may rival ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in reception.

Robert Downey Jr. will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in a central role as the villain Doctor Doom. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige noted that the character is driven by a belief that he is the hero who will save everyone.

The upcoming films are expected to feature massive ensemble casts, including the return of X-Men characters such as Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, as well as the Fantastic Four. Rumors suggest the films will balance significant roles for both male and female superheroes while navigating the complexities of the Multiverse Saga. Other confirmed or highly anticipated returns include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and various legacy characters from previous Marvel franchises.
