Marvel Studios prepares Avengers: Doomsday for December 2026 release

Marvel Studios is ramping up promotion for Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for theatrical release on December 18, 2026, in the United States and December 16, 2026, in the United Kingdom. The film marks the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this time portraying the villain Victor von Doom.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film is part of Phase 6 of the MCU and focuses on the collapse of the multiverse. New promotional materials, including international posters, depict various characters such as Thor, Loki, and the X-Men facing the collision of different realities, known as incursions.

Rumors regarding the film's post-credits scenes suggest potential returns for major characters, including Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and potentially Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
