Avengers: Doomsday rumors suggest Thor may battle a Doctor Strange variant

Rumors regarding the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ suggest a potential confrontation between Thor and a variant of Doctor Strange. According to reports from insider James Mack, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor may face off against a character named Boris, a variant of the Sorcerer Supreme played by Benedict Cumberbatch.

Unlike the primary Doctor Strange, this variant is reportedly an ally or sidekick to Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The character Boris is said to wield a sling ring and may have connections to the events of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ Some leaked imagery suggests the character might wear a Latverian-style mask featuring an opening for a third eye. While these details have not been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, they suggest a multiversal plotline involving corrupted or alternative versions of established heroes.
