Avengers: Doomsday to Exclude the Eternals in Upcoming MCU Film

Marvel Studios' next installment, Avengers: Doomsday, will see the Russo brothers return to direct the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. The film will feature the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and introduce Fox’s X‑Men characters, along with the Fantastic Four from Earth‑828 and the X‑Men from Earth‑10005, as they battle a new villain, Doctor Doom. Notably absent from the lineup are the Eternals—an immortal team introduced in 2021 that performed poorly at the box office, earning $402 million against a $272 million budget and receiving a “Rotten” score on Rotten Tomatoes. Marvel has scarcely mentioned the group since, and the studio appears to have sidelined them while focusing on other characters for the Doomsday showdown. Whether the Eternals will be re‑integrated into the MCU after the Multiverse Saga remains uncertain.
