Avenida Brasil 2 to feature football and actor Ernani Moraes

The upcoming telenovela ‘Avenida Brasil 2’, scheduled to replace ‘Quem Ama Cuida’ in January, will feature football as a prominent theme. The Divino Futebol Clube will be a central element of the plot, represented through the character Tufão, played by Murilo Benício, and a new director named Espiridião.

Actor Ernani Moraes has been cast to portray Espiridião. In addition to football, the character is expected to invest in a motel within the fictional neighborhood of Divino. The narrative will focus on the return of Carminha, played by Adriana Esteves, to Tufão’s family following the death of Monalisa.

Directed by Ricardo Waddington and written by João Emanuel Carneiro, the production will see the return of several original cast members, including Débora Falabella, Cauã Reymond, Eliane Giardini, Marcos Caruso, and Leticia Isnard. New additions to the cast include Jéssica Ellen and Thalita Carauta, while Mel Maia and Thomás Aquino are also set to join the production.
