Avenida Brasil: Carminha recruits Valdo as informant against Nina

In the Brazilian telenovela ‘Avenida Brasil’, the conflict between Nina and Carminha intensifies as a former ally of Nina turns against her. Valdo, a character previously close to Nina through his relationship with Betânia, accepts a bribe from Carminha to act as an informant.

Driven by resentment over past complications involving Betânia and having previously been assaulted by Lúcio during Carminha’s schemes, Valdo agrees to provide intelligence in exchange for money. Carminha initiates the arrangement with a payment of R$ 10,000 to learn Nina’s movements. As part of his first task, Valdo reveals that Nina plans to attend a farewell party for Begônia in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. Carminha intends to use this information to orchestrate further schemes against her rival.
