Aventus Finance rolls out new fraud‑prevention tools for Moldovan borrowers
Aventus Finance, operating the Credit7 and Credit365 brands in the Republic of Moldova, announced a suite of upgraded security measures to curb telephone and online fraud. New electronic identification processes now verify a borrower’s identity before any personal data are processed, using technologies that meet the National Bank of Moldova’s standards and international security norms such as ISO/IEC 30107 and NIST SP 800.
For existing customers, the company has temporarily suspended SMS‑based one‑time passwords and replaced them with FaceID authentication, while qualified users with a qualified electronic signature can log in via the government’s MPass service. "Today, scammers try to manipulate people rather than attack systems; therefore we must build processes that reduce the chance of abuse," said Roman Guțu, General Director of Aventus Finance. The changes follow recent guidance from the National Bank aimed at strengthening consumer protection in the financial sector.
