Aversa: Illegal construction and waste disposal site seized

Carabinieri Forestale officers from Marcianise have seized a 250-square-meter plot of state-owned land near the Aversa racecourse following reports of illegal waste burning.

During the inspection, authorities discovered a recently constructed structure made of wooden poles, iron sheets, and insulated panels. Two individuals were caught using a Bobcat to level the ground with construction waste, including cement fragments, bricks, and ceramics, directly onto the soil.

Investigators also found three iron bins containing ashes and plastic residues from previous illegal waste combustions. Local technical office records confirmed the land is state property designated for public green space, where all forms of construction are prohibited. The individuals involved face criminal charges for illegal waste disposal, unauthorized construction, and the unlawful occupation of public land for profit.
