Aversa hosts 22nd Bianca d’Aponte Award for female singer-songwriters

The 22nd edition of the Bianca d’Aponte Award is scheduled to take place in Aversa, with finals set for Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24. The event features a competition for female singer-songwriters showcasing diverse musical styles, including rock, folk, electronic, and singer-songwriter genres.

Notable guests and performers include Marina Rei, serving as godmother, and Peppe Barra, who will receive a lifetime achievement award from the city of Aversa. Other participants include Nino Buonocore, Andrea Mirò, Angela Baraldi, Moonari, Rossana De Pace, Alfina Scorza, and Micaela Tempesta. The artistic direction is led by Ferruccio Spinetti.

The program includes educational seminars, such as a songwriting workshop on October 22 and a seminar on copyright law on October 23. The competition finalists include Natalia Abbascià, L’Aurora, Bambina, Rosita Brucoli, Fabula, Mabi, Miriam Ricordi, MVR, Sarai, and Simona Valente.
