Avesta BK to prioritize player development over league goals

Avesta BK is entering the new Hockeytvåan västra B season with a strategic shift in focus. Coach Janne Hammar has stated that the club will not set specific sporting goals, such as reaching the playoffs, due to limited resources to pursue promotion to Hockeyettan.

Instead, the club intends to prioritize individual player development. The goal is to foster young talent and prepare players to move up to higher leagues. Hammar, who has an extensive background playing and coaching in Sweden and abroad, will lead a squad composed primarily of young players.
