Aveyron infrastructure: A75 roadwork and RN88 development plans
Infrastructure developments and maintenance are underway in the Aveyron region of France. From September 28 to October 9, 2026, roadwork on the A75 motorway will necessitate two-way traffic on a single carriageway for an 11-kilometer stretch between La Cavalerie and Beaumescure.
During this period, specific access ramps will be closed: the entrance ramp at Beaumescure (exit 46) and the exit ramp at La Cavalerie (exit 47) in the North/South direction. Speed limits will be reduced to 80 km/h, with temporary drops to 50 km/h during lane shifts. Additionally, oversized transport convoys exceeding 3.50 meters in width or 25 meters in length will face restrictions.
Separately, a public consultation has been launched regarding the future of the RN88 between Rodez and the A75. Running from September 28 to December 28, 2026, the process allows residents to weigh in on potential development options for the section between Onet-le-Château and Sévérac-d’Aveyron. Public meetings are scheduled for late September and early October in Laissac, Sévérac-d’Aveyron, and Onet-le-Château.
