Aveyron promotes vocational training and heritage restoration
In the Aveyron department of France, local leaders and cultural figures are highlighting regional development through heritage and vocational training.
Delphine Vanhée and Pierre Azémar of the Chambre des Métiers et de l’Artisanat de l’Aveyron recently visited Sévérac-le-Château to promote apprenticeship programs. They emphasized that vocational training is a vital response to local economic needs, noting that 90% of apprentices find employment within seven months of completing their training.
Simultaneously, television presenter Stéphane Bern visited the Palais épiscopal in Rodez on behalf of the Fondation du patrimoine. Bern expressed interest in involving the foundation in the restoration of the historic site, describing the palace as a “heritage treasure” that spans multiple historical eras, including Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance architecture.
