Italy reports multiple arrests for domestic violence and stalking

Law enforcement agencies across Italy have conducted several arrests related to domestic violence, stalking, and family maltreatment.

In Avezzano, police arrested a 45-year-old man after he reportedly held his former partner against her will in a residence. The operation followed a report from a concerned acquaintance when the woman stopped responding to phone calls.

In Licata, a 50-year-old man faces charges of sexual violence, aggravated injury, and maltreatment. Authorities have imposed a restraining order and electronic monitoring after allegations that the man threatened his wife with a knife and exerted continuous control over her life.

Other recent incidents include the arrest of a 28-year-old in Padova for stalking an ex-partner, a 38-year-old in Spoleto for violating an anti-stalking restraining order, and a 37-year-old in Bibbiena for robbery and personal injury against an ex-girlfriend.

In Ravenna, a 42-year-old man was arrested for violating a restraining order after allegedly extorting nearly 95,000 euros from his elderly parents through threats and violence.
