AVG rail network faces service disruptions due to construction
Various railway construction projects and maintenance works are causing service disruptions and diversions across the AVG network in Germany.
On the S71 line between Karlsruhe, Rastatt, and Baden-Baden, DB InfraGO is conducting works that will lead to cancellations and service changes throughout September. Specific disruptions include the cancellation of late-night services on September 4 and 6, and a service on September 29 that will terminate in Rastatt. Additionally, on September 11, the S71 service from Karlsruhe to Achern will skip intermediate stops. A rail replacement bus service (SEV) will be implemented for these affected routes.
Other regional works include accessibility upgrades on the S4 line, specifically at the Bauerbach, Zaisenhausen, and Bretten Schulzentrum stations. Construction in the Bretten-Eppingen section and the Sulzfeld-Gölshausen Industrie section is also noted as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.
