Avia Świdnik defeats Górnik Łęczna 1-0 in derby

Avia Świdnik secured a 1-0 victory over Górnik Łęczna in their local derby, ending an 18‑year wait for a derby win. The decisive goal came in the 59th minute when Ukrainian forward Andrij Remeniuk struck from close range after a long throw‑in by Michał Kołodziejski was collected by Kacper Wełniak in the penalty area.

The match attracted more than three thousand spectators, including a group of about four hundred fans from the nearby aviation town. Coach Wojciech Szacoń praised the team's disciplined defence, saying, "It was a closed match, also because of the derby character." The win strengthens Avia’s push for promotion to the second league.
