Avianca and Frontier Airlines expand connectivity to Latin America

Avianca has established a partnership with Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer and Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League. As the official international airline partner for both teams, Avianca aims to strengthen its connection to Central Florida and Latin American communities. The airline noted that 19 Latin American-born players currently represent various countries across the two clubs, including Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.

Separately, Frontier Airlines has announced plans to expand into South America with new nonstop service from Orlando International Airport to Cartagena, Colombia. Scheduled to begin on December 19, 2026, the weekly route will fly into Rafael Núñez International Airport. This expansion also includes new flights from Orlando to Medellín and Bogotá, subject to government approval.
