Avianca launches INSIGNIA premium business class service

Avianca is upgrading its long-haul business class service with the introduction of ‘INSIGNIA by Avianca’. The new offering focuses on enhanced privacy and comfort for international routes connecting South America, Europe, and North America, primarily utilizing Boeing 787 aircraft.

The premium experience includes curated amenities such as noise-canceling headphones, designer pajamas, and amenity kits inspired by regional craftsmanship. The airline is also introducing new menus developed by renowned chefs, such as Alvaro Clavijo and Rafael Buitarago, to elevate the in-flight dining experience.

This move intensifies competition in the premium travel sector, particularly at hubs like Ezeiza International Airport, where Avianca will compete directly with LATAM Airlines. While LATAM has previously invested in suites with doors, Avianca’s new strategy aims to capture high-spending corporate travelers by redefining comfort and exclusivity on both long-haul and regional routes.
