Avianca to debut new Boeing 787 business class suites in 2027

Avianca has announced an evolution of its premium service, INSIGNIA by Avianca, targeting long-haul routes to Europe and New York. A major component of this upgrade is the introduction of new business class suites featuring increased privacy and comfort, scheduled to begin implementation in 2027 on the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.

The hardware upgrades include modern technology such as 19-inch 4K entertainment screens, Bluetooth audio, and improved charging options. Beyond long-haul improvements, the airline is consolidating its Business Class Américas service across all continental routes and expanding Wi-Fi connectivity.

Additionally, Avianca is introducing Magno, a new status tier for its Lifemiles and Smiles loyalty programs to provide personalized benefits to frequent travelers. This move places Avianca in direct competition with regional rivals like LATAM, which has already begun deploying private suites on its wide-body aircraft.
