Aviano: Carabinieri intervene after violent altercation in Giais

Carabinieri officers intervened in Giais, a hamlet of Aviano, following a violent altercation involving two 21-year-old Pakistani nationals. The incident reportedly began in a residence where the two individuals attacked an Indian citizen over trivial matters.

The situation escalated at a local bus stop, where the suspects allegedly verbally harassed a young woman and attacked a passerby who attempted to intervene. The two men then boarded an Atap bus without tickets. When confronted by the conductor, the situation turned chaotic: one individual punched the bus windows while the other blocked the vehicle, preventing it from departing.

Traffic on the Aviano-Pordenone line was blocked for over an hour. The two victims were treated at a hospital in Pordenone. While the two suspects were taken to the barracks, they were not arrested but face potential charges for injury, harassment, and interruption of a public service.
