Aviation Capital Group orders 75 Airbus A320neo aircraft
Aviation Capital Group (ACG), a global aircraft leasing firm owned by Tokyo Century, has placed a firm order for 75 Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The deal is valued at approximately $11.7 billion and represents the largest single order in ACG’s nearly 40-year history.
With this transaction, ACG’s total orders for the A320neo model rise to 190 units. The company, headquartered in Newport Beach, California, aims to concentrate its portfolio on next-generation single-aisle aircraft to meet high global airline demand. The ordered aircraft will feature various seating configurations to allow for customization to specific airline requirements. The first deliveries are expected to begin in 2032.
Airbus noted that the A320neo family offers at least a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous generations. This order further strengthens Airbus's market position, contributing to a massive backlog that keeps its production lines filled for approximately the next decade.
