Aviation history and activities in Morbihan, France

The Musée Espace Air Passion offers various educational activities for children, including origami, model building, and parachute workshops. The museum features cockpit experiences in Fouga Magister and Broussard aircraft, as well as specialized exhibitions such as a Playmobil display scheduled for October and November 2025.

In the region of Morbihan, historical records highlight the early interest in aviation in Pontivy. The first aerial meeting in Pontivy took place on May 19, 1912, at the La Haie racecourse, drawing 12,000 spectators to watch pilots Maurice Allard and Archimède Luzetti perform aerobatics. A subsequent aviation festival was organized in June 1914 at Kernivinen, featuring pilots such as J. Lazard and the Italian count Amilcar Grassi-Fonseca. These early demonstrations inspired several local residents to join aviation services during World War I.
