Aviation infrastructure developments reported in Dominican Republic and Chile

Vinci Airports CEO Rémi Maumon de Longevialle led a delegation to inspect executive aviation terminals (FBO) in the Dominican Republic. The visit included the Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata and the Presidente Juan Bosch (El Catey) Airport in Samaná. These facilities are operated by Universal Aviation under concession from Aerodom, a subsidiary of Vinci Airports.

The inspection focused on operational processes and service standards intended to support private and corporate aviation. Executives noted that the partnership aims to strengthen executive aviation in the country and position the Dominican Republic as a key destination for high-value tourism and corporate mobility.

In Chile, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced that the new passenger terminal at Balmaceda Airport is scheduled to open on October 1. The completed infrastructure covers over 12,000 square meters and is awaiting official permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC).

The expansion is designed to triple the airport's operational capacity, with annual passenger projections expected to exceed 1.2 million. Authorities are also evaluating the implementation of landing aid technologies, such as ILS, to improve winter operations and connectivity in the Aysén Region.
