Avinor awards new tax-free contracts for Norwegian airports

Avinor has announced the awarding of new contracts for tax-free operations across its network of Norwegian airports. Following an extensive market dialogue and competitive bidding process, Travel Retail Norway (TRN) has been offered two major contracts: one for Oslo Airport and another covering Sola, Flesland, and Værnes airports.

Airport Retail Group (ARG) has been awarded the contracts for tax-free operations at the remaining regional airports. The new agreements are set to begin on January 1, 2028, and will span an eight-year period.

Tax-free commerce represents a significant revenue stream for Avinor. In 2025, tax-free sales accounted for approximately 4.7 billion NOK, which constitutes nearly 20% of the company's total revenue.
