Avinor reports increased profits and passenger growth in H1 2026

Avinor reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, achieving an adjusted operating profit of 1.1 billion NOK. This represents an increase of 288 million NOK compared to the same period in 2025.

Total operating income reached 7.1 billion NOK, an 8.6 percent increase when adjusted for other income. This growth is attributed to higher revenue per passenger and a 2.1 percent rise in total passenger traffic, which reached 25.9 million travelers. Bergen Airport saw the strongest growth among major airports with a 6.9 percent increase.

Operating costs rose to 4.6 billion NOK, a 4.7 percent increase, driven by general price and wage growth as well as higher energy prices. CEO Abraham Foss stated that the company maintains a robust operation despite geopolitical uncertainty and is focused on managing costs while developing airport services.

Ongoing and upcoming projects include the construction of new airports in Bodø and Mo i Rana, new security control implementations, defense-related tasks at Evenes and Andøya, and investments in new flight safety systems.
