Aviron Bayonnais pursues Samuel Marques to address scrum-half shortage

Aviron Bayonnais is actively seeking to address a shortage of scrum-halves following an injury to Léo Coly. The club has entered discussions with 37-year-old Portuguese international Samuel Marques, who is currently under contract with Carcassonne. While Marques is a priority target due to his extensive experience in Top 14 and Pro D2, club manager Gerard Fraser noted that no deal is finalized and the move depends on Carcassonne's approval.

In addition to the pursuit of Marques, Bayonne has been presented with approximately fifteen other scrum-half options over the last three days. The club aims to secure a veteran player to support 19-year-old Baptiste Tilloles, who has recently been required to cover the position due to the current roster constraints.
