AVIS Guidonia Montecelio and Vasto sign twinning agreement

The AVIS municipal branches of Guidonia Montecelio and Vasto have officially entered into a twinning agreement to promote blood donation and solidarity. The ceremony took place on September 22, 2026, in the council chamber of Guidonia Montecelio.

The partnership aims to establish a stable collaboration between the two organizations, which represent the Lazio and Abruzzo regions respectively. Key objectives include the exchange of best practices, joint school projects, awareness campaigns, and shared collection days to address chronic blood shortages.

Local officials attended the event, including the Mayor of Guidonia Montecelio, Mauro Lombardo, and representatives from the Lazio Region. The presidents of the respective AVIS branches, Silvio Siroli and Michele Massone, emphasized the importance of building networks that transcend regional borders to serve the community through altruism and collective responsibility.
