Avis honors blood donors and volunteers in Italian ceremonies

Avis organizations in Italy held ceremonies to honor dedicated blood donors and volunteers for their long-term commitment to community health.

In Oggiona con Santo Stefano, Avis Provinciale Varese celebrated the ‘Day of Giving’ by presenting the ‘Cento volte Avis’ award to 41 donors who reached the milestone of 100 donations within the last year. Additionally, seven volunteers were recognized with the ‘VolontariAvis – Insieme si può’ award for their exceptional dedication to organizational and promotional activities.

In Viterbo, the Province held its fourth annual ceremony at Palazzo Gentili to grant civic benevolence awards to 133 Avis members. These honors were awarded to individuals who reached either 50 donations or 40 donations maintained over at least twenty years of membership. During the event, Avis Provincial President Luigi Ottavio Mechelli presented the ‘Goccia d’oro’, the association’s highest honor, to President Alessandro Romoli in recognition of his sustained support for volunteer values.
