Avis organizes community health and blood donation events in Italy

Community events organized by Avis in the Italian towns of Recanati and Fabriano focused on promoting blood donation and healthy lifestyles through physical activity and social engagement.

In Recanati, the 6th edition of the ‘Camminata Avis Pronti Sivà’ saw approximately 200 participants complete a 7 km walk through the local countryside and the S. Croce district. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Local officials attended the event, which concluded with a social gathering.

In Fabriano, the 12th edition of the ‘Festa dello Sport’ was held at Giardini Margherita. Promoted by Avis Fabriano and local sports groups, the event featured various sports demonstrations and activities for children and families. Alongside the athletic activities, Avis volunteers worked to sensitize citizens, particularly younger generations, to the importance of blood donation.
